Wow the Club just keeps on moving forward and getting better and better…All Because Of YOU !!!
I want to thank all of the members who keep volunteering and rolling up their sleeves getting a little dirty and sweaty and getting the Club in Ship Shape.
Big thanks to Rear Commodore Kenny Hallgren and his Galley Mates for their efforts organizing and spit shining the Galley, everything looks fantastic.
Huge thanks to Port Captain Ed Tingley and friends for all of the work outside the Club.
It’s been a little bit since the grounds have looked so groomed and cleaned. Projects are still going on and getting done. I’m especially excited to have the eves painted. Thank you Lex.
I want to also thank PC Ed Tingley for repairing the floor tiles in front of the interior stage, it looks great.
I was able to attend the Labor Day Bathtub Regatta. It was a beautiful day filled with lots of energy and hope. We had three entries in the race. Dave Rawlings with an actual Bathtub, PC Ed Tingley with an actual wooden boat , and last year’s winner Ruth Berstein and son Liam. Thanks go out to Director Steve O’Brien for all his help with assembling the watercrafts. The Club that shall not be named had one entry and that one was enough for the win…oh well we will get em next year.
Would like to thank everyone who Volunteered for Law Enforcement Day. Such a great event and great way to thank Law Enforcement. The Club had at least 1800 people go through the doors. Thanks to members Bob Guinon and Debra Neil for making this another awesome day at the Club.
Thank you to Member of the Month Iwan Thomis for all his efforts putting together Membership Survey. Great job Iwan!
Next month is “Nominations “ for club officers and directors for 2025. If you have been a member for a year, you are eligible to run. Treasurer Rudyard Vance has held that position for over 9 years and could really use a break. Step up please.
Next month is the Clubs World Famous Halloween Party on Oct 26th. It is a SPOOKTACTULAR
TIME. Member Marisa Abraham is sure to have the Club dressed to scare and impress. If you haven’t attended this event you should. There will be a costume contest.
Please remember if you are having an event at the Club in October the Club will be DECORATED.
Hope to see you all at the next General Meeting Saturday Oct 12th.
I LOVE THIS CLUB !

Larry was one of the best parts about the MHPYC. We will all miss his kind heart, warm hugs and giant smile. He brought out the very best in everyone. God bless you Larry, you will be missed but will remain forever in our hearts and memories. Rest in peace our friend.
