- The ancient Greeks invented wine and introduced the Romans—and Europe—to the art of wine-making. Throughout this evening we'll travel across Greece, enjoying traditional and regional dishes paired with distinctive wines. You'll discover indigenous grapes such as Assyrtiko, Xinomavro, Moschofilero, Vidiano, and Aidani, from Amyndeon Thessaly, the Peloponnese, Crete, Naoussa and Santorini each with its own character and story.
